About David

David Cleden lives in the UK and works in London. In 2018 he won the Aeon Award for short fiction, and has previously been a James White Award winner, with published work in Interzone, Analog, Galaxy’s Edge and Metaphorosis, amongst others. He won the Writers of the Future award in 2019 for his story “Dark Equations of the Heart” published in Volume 35. This writing contest discovers and helps launch new authors into the science fiction and fantasy genres, many of which are now publishing new books each year.

His day job is writing business proposals but turns to writing fiction after hours and is still working hard not to get the two muddled up. He lives in a household with a ridiculously large number of cute cats, as per the rules of all author bios. David Cleden (small)
